The route through the ecuadorian highlands

Our eight days trip starts from Quito to the National Park Cotopaxi. Place we visit to observe the majestic activ volcan Cotopaxi. After this we go to Latacunga for our first overnight.
The next day, and going more to the south we visit the extinct volcano Quilotoa. Go into the crater until we reach a lagoon that is inside this crater.

After this we go to Ambato, enjoy the city and stay at our hotel.
The next morning, our route takes us to Riobamba, a town full of traditions and legends, we keep going until the Ruinas de Ingapirca and we’ll stay overnight at this place.
On this day we reach the city of the four rivers, better known as Cuenca, a town, that has a lot to offer and where we are going to stay for the next two nights. Besides visiting the old town, we also go to the museums, try the typical food and know its people and customs.

The next morning we go out of Cuenca to visit Chordeleg, Saraguro and Sigsig, places that are very appreciated for its silver jewelry made by hand. At night we get back to Cuenca.
On the next day, it is planed to go to Loja, a city of captivation, other landscapes and more traditions. Beside knowing the city and being able to try its culinary art we will have the evening free for your activities.

The penultimate day we go to Vilcabamba, the city of the long lived people. It seems, that the time goes slowly and their life takes longer. New places to discover, new people to meet. New adventures are waiting for us during our stay here.
The last day and after a long journey we get back to Loja, where we arrive to the airport and take the next plane to Quito.

This trip is something special, because we travel to a lot of cities of the Ecuadorian highlands, observing different cultures, a big food variety, legends and traditions. This is going to be an experience hard to forget.
