HORSES uses horses from our prize-winning Ranch, CRIADERO
ILALO. Our ranch is located 30 minutes from Quito,
Ecuador's capital city, in the valley of Tumbaco,
at the foothills of the Ilalo Mountain, and covers
an area of roughly 30 acres.
CRIADERO ILALO was established in 1998. Initially,
we acquired 4 purebred mares and 1 stallion from Peru.
Over the last six years, our ranch has purchased several
purebreds and at the same time we have been breeding
and schooling our own horses to maintain the desirable
characteristics of the Paso Horse, while creating
our own Paso Horse, ILALO style! At the moment we
maintain an average of 50 purebreds.
We have a young ranch, however, since the year 2000
we have been competing in Paso Horse Championships
and have won over 100 trophies and prizes in all levels
of competition. Our horses have been awarded top prizes
in national and regional championships every year
since 2000. These awards show our commitment to breeding
the best Paso Horses as well as the excellence of
all mares and stallions.
We want to share with you the beauty, luxury and
endurance of the Paso Horse. Our horses are not just
any horses, they are the smoothest horses in the world!
